I am a clinical instructor at a school of nursing.

Recently, a group of students gave a presentation about nutrition and type 2 diabetes. It included information about counting calories. As I sat there sadly listening to sad old information, I felt incredibly discouraged. Here was a new generation of young nurses who will be giving their patients sad old advice that is just plain wrong. Count those calories. Weight loss is a math problem. Weight loss is NOT a math problem!!!

Want to know the two things that must happen for successful weight loss?
